Are heat transfer films and DTF films the same thing?
In our product line, the “heat transfer film” refers to the single-sided heat transfer film used with DTF printers, also known as DTF film: First, the design is printed onto the film using a DTF printer, then it undergoes powder shaking and drying, and finally, it is heat-pressed onto the fabric.
It differs from the “lettering film” (thermal transfer lettering film) commonly found on the market: lettering film is cut into a design using a cutting machine and then heat-pressed directly, requiring no printer or heat-melt powder; DTF heat transfer film, however, must undergo both printing and powder application and drying.
We can supply both types on demand—just let us know the fabric and design type you need.
Please send us the fabric type, width, production capacity, and design requirements, and our engineers will provide tailored recommendations based on the equipment configuration.
