Can I use a different brand of TPU TPU Hot Melt Powder? Are there any compatibility requirements with the printer?
TPU TPU Hot Melt Powder is a general-purpose consumable; as long as the particle size specification matches your process, powders from different brands are generally compatible.
What you really need to pay attention to is compatibility: the heating width of the powder feeder must match the printer (300 mm for the DF300, 600 mm for the DF900L / DF700Pro), and the curing temperature should be set according to the model (75°C for the DF700Pro platform / curing at 110°C; for the DF900L, approximately 110°C).
If you switch powder mid-process, we recommend first printing a test sample to check adhesion and texture. Only proceed with batch production once you’ve confirmed there are no issues.
