Can DTF be applied to dark-colored clothing?
Yes. With DTF heat transfer printing, a layer of white ink is first applied beneath the colored design to completely cover the fabric’s original color. This allows for vibrant, colorful designs to be printed on dark fabrics—such as black, dark blue, and dark red—without appearing dull.
This is also one of the key differences between DTF and dye-sublimation printing. For orders involving dark-colored cotton T-shirts, hoodies, and work uniforms, DTF is the more suitable choice.
