Case Study: Delivery of a Continuous Heat Transfer Printing Production Line for Synthetic Fiber Fabrics

The client for this project is located in a domestic textile industrial cluster and primarily produces polyester knitted fabrics. Its orders consist mainly of continuous, large-volume production runs, which place high demands on color consistency and continuous operation capabilities.
Project Requirements
- The fabrics are primarily polyester knits with a wide range of weights;
- 24-hour continuous operation is required, with no downtime during shift changes;
- Batch orders have strict requirements for color consistency;
- The goal is to reduce energy consumption per unit and machine setup time.
Solution Configuration
Taking into account the customer’s fabric characteristics and production capacity goals, we configured a sublimation roller transfer machine. To accommodate the fabric roll specifications, we integrated constant-tension unwinding, automatic edge alignment, and synchronized winding units. A fabric inspection step was added prior to transfer to ensure the greige fabric meets transfer requirements.
Process Validation
Prior to full-scale production, we collaborated with the client to complete sample verification on multiple fabric sets, covering different weights and pattern types. We recorded parameters such as temperature, speed, tension, and pressure roller force to create reusable process sheets, thereby reducing the need for repeated machine adjustments during subsequent job changes.
Delivery Results
After the equipment was put into operation, it achieved continuous and stable operation. Color difference control met the client’s acceptance criteria, and job changeover times were significantly reduced. Stable tension and temperature control reduced the frequency of fabric threading and machine adjustments, and energy consumption per unit of output was also improved.
