Are designs printed using sublimation printing wash-resistant?
The principle behind sublimation transfer is that, at high temperatures, disperse dyes vaporize and penetrate the interior of synthetic fibers such as polyester. This is a form of “deep dyeing” rather than surface coating, so the printed designs feel soft to the touch, are resistant to cracking and peeling, and generally exhibit better washfastness and abrasion resistance than surface printing.
Actual wash fastness ratings depend on fabric composition, ink volume, and heat pressing temperature and duration. We recommend creating a sample before full-scale production and testing it according to your washing standards. If needed, we can provide a sample for your confirmation.
Please send us the fabric type, width, production capacity, and design requirements, and our engineers will provide tailored recommendations based on the equipment configuration.
